W26P23 - Unusual focus

This is another picture from our visit to "parque ecológico". I chose this one for it represents an unusual look to a basic landscape. Bringing the focus the the dry tree, instead of taking it to the small house, created a quite interesting and smooth picture....

Taken with my T1i, nothing fancy on the adjustments :)

This is currently my desktop's wallpaper, feel free to use it too!

W25P22 - Duck parade :)

This is a second picture I'm sharing from the "parque ecológico". There were many birds walking around the park, these ducks called my attention, mostly for the perfect formation: one at the lead spot, the "V" formation, one watching the back :)

The sun at the side creating the shadows added a nice touch!

Taken with my T1i, at 1/125s, f/9.0, ISO 100 and focal length at 40mm (64mm equivalent). Very minimum retouches on Picasa. mostly on adding some contrast.

W25P21 - Shadow Drawing

Today I had a chance to spend some time at a park in Campinas I hadn't been literally for years... It is called "parque ecológico" and although pretty simple showed to be quite interesting to photograph. I'll publish 3 or 4 of the ones taken there, starting with this one.

The geometry of the shadows really captured my attention, I tried some angles, but this one stood up.

taken with the Canon T1i, at f/14.0 (wanted all the depth of focus I could get) 1/30s at ISO100. 105mm focal length (max on the lens I was using). Minimal retouch on Picasa, and here it is!

Hope you enjoy, more will come!

W23P20 - Brazil!!!!!

Yes, I know... I'm VERY late... it was a month since my last picture, but this has been a quite chaotic month. We were renovating our house, what took all and some more of our energy. But now it is (almost) ready, and it is time to get back on track. This will require sometimes 2 pictures per week, but I'll get there...

This one was taken during a folkloric party I went this weekend where my daughter had some dancing (she did great by the way). These flags were there, mixing the party theme with the soccer world cup, shining under the sun. The contrast of the extremely lit flags and the shadowed background made a nice touch.

This one was taken with the Canon T1i, the 28-105mm lenses all the way to the 105, giving me the equivalent of 167mm. 1/1600s, f/4.5, ISO 100. Minor color curves adjustments and some unsharp mask done on Photoshop Elements.
